“Lost, yesterday, somewhere between sunrise and sunset, two golden hours, each set with sixty diamond minutes. No reward is offered for they are gone forever.” – Horace Mann

I learned about ‘magic hour,’ more commonly known as golden hour, in film school. It’s a phrase used to describe the fleeting moments shortly before sunset or immediately after sunrise, when the natural light is warm and yes, golden. These lighting conditions create beautiful shadow, texture, and depth in images, not to mention the overall feel is quite pleasant. If you scroll through the pics below you’ll notice Yesi and I happened to catch it in all its golden glory from the 1111 Lincoln Road building (architectural masterpiece by Herzog de Meuron). It was almost like the sky was on fire right before the sun fully set.

About the look, my day-to-day face is natural and dewy. I’ve been obsessed with glossy lids lately, and also this deep red lip by Aveda. Happy scrolling 🙂
