What do you dream about at night? And what do you dream of accomplishing when you’re awake? Do you ever make your dreams come true? I used to write all my dreams down first thing in the morning, while they were fresh in my head, and am trying to get back into the habit of doing just that. It’s super therapeutic, and really interesting to read through after some time’s passed. My dream journal has crazy etchings about tidal waves, chases, armies, you name it. When it comes to dreams and aspirations in the waking-life however, the visions are not as over-the-top, and well, the cynic in me takes the reins. I am definitely more reserved with goals that I set for myself. Why? Simple. I dread disappointment. I’m afraid of aiming too high. What if I don’t reach that goal? What if I can’t for the life of me, make that dream come true? Even worse, what if I’m not good enough? I’m open to any advice you guys have on coping with self-doubt. It’s something I’ve struggled with my whole life! Which is crazy, considering I have amazing, supportive parents & people around me. Every day I not only think about what could be, but I continue to work on how to just BE. So I guess what I’m trying to say is, let’s try to not sell ourselves short. Let’s dream, and not be afraid to dream. Thanks for reading, and of course, for scrolling 🙂
